Trad Music Session
A traditional Irish music session in one of Sligo’s most popular bars.

Spanish Armada Conference
Armada expert lecture series. Presentations and discussions about important Armada topics.

Heritage Walk
Heritage walk to some of the most historical sites in Sligo, including a special musical event at Sligo Abbey.

Gala Concert
Concert featuring the Atlantic Ensemble and Spanish Navy Band – a special mix of Spanish and Irish traditions.

Armada Club
Enjoy a tune and a pint at one of Grange’s popular bars to round off the evening.

Armada Tertulia
Armada Tertulia (Gathering) Historical display and pageantry relating to 16th century life in Ireland. Projection of radio play ‘Lost Sailor of the Armada’. Plein Air art event. Art and Photo exhibition.

Armada Monument
Unveiling of new monument supported by Spanish Navy and Spanish Embassy in Ireland at the Spanish Armada Visitor Centre. All welcome.

Remembering the Armada
Annual Armada beach commemoration in memory of 1,100 Armada sailors who died at Streedagh in 1588. Walk begins 3pm.

Mass & Ceremony of Friendship
Mass with Spanish and Irish music.

Armada Club
Enjoy a drink and music during the final evening of the Armada festival at one of Grange’s popular pubs.

Yoga Class
Stretch and breathe yoga, followed by optional swim to revive the soul in the Atlantic.

Beach Clean
Volunteer beach clean as we restore Streedagh Beach to its natural beauty after the weekend’s activities. Litter equipment provided.

Armada Walk & Talk
Armada Shipwrecks Walk & Talk at Streedagh Beach, identifying the shipwreck sites and speaking about their discovery.

Armada Sail By
The festival closes with a salute to the OPV Centinela and crew, as we gather at Streedagh Beach to wave them goodbye.

Enjoy Latin music & tapas at Ósta Cafe & Wine Bar.
