The Spanish Armada Visitor Centre in Grange, Co. Sligo, reopens from Saturday 4th April 2026 and will remain open throughout the Summer every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday between 2-6pm. No prior booking is required for groups of less than 10 people. For bigger groups we ask for you to contact info@spanisharmadaireland.com to arrange a suitable time for your visit.

The cost of the visit is €5 per adult and children aged Under 16 are free. The visit takes approximately 45 minutes. During the visit, you’ll explore the story of the Spanish Armada of 1588 and that three Armada ships were wrecked nearby at Streedagh Beach. The shipwrecks were discovered in modern times and our guide will also describe the many aspects that comprise one of the most remarkable chapters of Hispano-Irish history.

The tour ends with a viewing of a short docudrama (25 minutes) based on the testimony of one of the survivors of the shipwreck, Captain Francisco de Cuéllar. The docudrama is available to view in both English and Spanish.

Please note that the Spanish Armada visitor Centre is staffed by community volunteers. If you would like to contribute a little of your time as a tour volunteer, please email your details to info@spanisharmadaireland.com. Full training is provided.
