Anyone entering Ireland must have a valid passport, or in the case of European Union Members, a national identity card. Visas are required for some countries. Delegates should check with their local Irish representation. The Department of Justice, Equality and Law reform has primary responsibility of Ireland’s immigration and visa policy.

A valid Driving Licence is required to drive in Ireland.

Citizens of some countries, including China, India, Nigeria, Iran and Russia usually require an Irish visa. A Schengen visa is not valid for Ireland as Ireland does not belong to the Schengen area. Neither is a UK visa valid in Ireland.
